    A call to awareness has been released to the Soldiers, Civilians, and families of the US Army Corps of Engineers with the release of Lt. Gen. Semonite’s Proclamation for Antiterrorism Awareness Month. The document strongly urges the Corps Community to take action by way of vigilance to prevent and defeat terrorism.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District began construction in July on a $27 million project that will renovate the Brig. Gen. Crawford F. Sams U.S. Army Health Clinic and the U.S. Army Dental Activity Japan Clinic on Camp Zama. Slated for completion in March 2016, the facility will provide enhanced medical care for military service members, civilians, and their families at Camp Zama. The first phase of the project involves constructing a temporary facility, shown here, to provide swing space for Clinic staff and patient care throughout the course of the existing clinic renovation. The renovation of the existing clinic facilities is slated to begin in Spring 2014.

    Corps continues renovation work on medical facilities at Camp Zama

    Work continues on a $27 million medical/dental facility project on Camp Zama that will enhance medical care for military members, civilians and their families on the installation. The project, slated for completion by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District in March 2016, will renovate the Brig. Gen. Crawford F. Sams U.S. Army Health Clinic and the U.S. Army Dental Activity Japan Clinic, also known on post as Building 704.
  • Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District’s Safety Office meet with Yokota Resident Office Quality Assurance staff and Hibiya Engineering at the project site for a classroom upgrade at Mendel Elementary School to ensure that all safety measures are in place before beginning demolition. The $9.6 million project currently underway at Yokota Air Force Base, Japan, includes the construction of a new classroom facility, playgrounds and covered walkways to connect the new addition to surrounding buildings.

    A $9.6 million project currently underway at Yokota Air Force Base, Japan, will provide children of military service members attending Joan K. Mendel Elementary School with a new state-of-the-art classroom facility, courtesy of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District.
