Lieutenant Colonel Braden G.
LeMaster assumed his duties as Deputy Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Japan Engineer District on August 29, 2014. Braden came to the Japan
Engineer District following an assignment with the Sacramento District where he
served as the Deputy District Commander.
Lieutenant Colonel LeMaster was
commissioned in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1994 and has served in
various assignments in the U.S. and overseas. Some of his notable positions
include: platoon leader and company executive officer in the 8th Engineer
Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas; battalion plans officer, battalion logistics
officer, and company commander for the 54th Engineer Battalion in Bamberg,
Germany; facility engineer and logistics chief with the George C. Marshall
Center for Advanced Security Studies in Garmisch, Germany; transition team
chief, Iraq; and officer in charge of the Corps' Jalalabad area office in
Afghanistan.
Lieutenant Colonel LeMaster has deployed in support of Operation
Desert Strike (Kuwait); Operation Joint Guardian (Kosovo); Operation Iraqi
Freedom (Iraq); and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Akron
and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of
Missouri at Rolla. He is a graduate of the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced
courses, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina.
