Japan District helps STEM activities at Zama American Middle School
Japan Engineer District Civil Engineer Glenn Nakasaki recently spoke with Zama American Middle School seventh grade advanced math students about how math is used to design bridges. The students learned about how math is important to calculate weight as well as tension and compression. Part of the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) activities currently promoted by Army leaders, the class was organized to allow students visualize how their skills are used in the real world.
