The Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) welcomed Col. Bonham to their Engineering school in the Katsuta Garrison, located in the Ibaraki prefecture. There, he was able to sit down with their commandant, Maj. General Yamasaki, to discuss some of the lessons learned during previous armed conflicts, methods for instituting new infrastructure, and how to further connect the JGSDF and American civilians and service members.
